Romagnola Beef Genetics is a leading producer of quality seed-stock internationally recognised for producing commercially relevant genetics.
Romagnola Beef Genetics is owned and operated by Matt and Anna Ahern based at “Bulala” Roma. Anna and her family have been breeding Romagnola cattle since 1991 with bulls sold into most states of Australia from Southern Victoria to Burketown, west to Perth and all areas in between.
We continue to develop markets for our bulls and aim to offer around 60 bulls for private sale each year as well as marketing semen in a select number of sires. Occasionally breeding females and embryos are also available through private negotiation.
Our bulls are sold privately and are prepared to maximise their long term fertility and ability to handle the environment in which they will be required to work. All bulls are fully vaccinated and semen tested with full fertility and breeding history data available on their dams.
We encourage buyers to discuss their requirements with us, so that bulls can be selected, prepared and delivery arranged to meet your needs and to give you, the buyer, and the bull the best chance of success.
Bulls for your environment. Progeny for your markets!
Our aim is to produce large lines of quiet, clean coated, quality Romagnola bulls that will thrive in any environment and produce progeny with an ability to finish to all modern beef markets.
We are incredibly appreciative of our growing base of loyal bull buyers who appreciate the quality of our cattle and are seeing the benefits to their breeding program from simply buying the right bull that has been bred and prepared to work.
We continue to use performance and grading information in combination with strict visual selection to produce quiet, functional cattle to meet the requirements of modern beef markets.
We are committed to the development of close relationships with our clients to obtain feedback on the performance of our bulls and to involve them in cooperative breeding, progeny testing and marketing of Romagnola infused cattle throughout Australia.
