While the Romagnola breed originated in Italy, the genetic make up of the breed contains ancient Bos Indicus cattle.

This unique ancestry and combination of the productive and adaptive traits typical to Bos Taurus and Bos Indicus cattle make it a significant breed for the Australian beef industry where an ability to survive and produce a quality product are the basis of our production systems.

The adaptability, growth potential, fertility and carcass merits of the breed are rapidly establishing it at the forefront of the Australian cattle industry and are adding a new dimension to beef production around the world.
