Sire: Eskimo Joe
Dam: Hamilton Park Z95C
Losing our much-loved Eskimo Joe in 2015 was tough however it meant the introduction of his stylish son Kimba to our sire battery.
Kimba was sashed Calf Champion bull at 2015 Beef Australia and was very unlucky to come up against stablemate Jimmy Choo for Grand Champion.
There is a lot to like about Kimba however it was his fleshing and depth of flank which made us choose him over all the other strong Eskimo Joe sons. He displayed the same strong bone and perfect feet as his father and incorporated much of his Unesco bred mother’s carcase traits as well.
His progeny are consistently outstanding. We could go on about them however suffice to say they had the lead calves amongst them each year.
Morton and Maude were part of that first drop and in 2018 as 20- 24 month olds, they won the double Grand Champion Romagnola sashes at both Beef 2018 and the Brisbane Exhibition. Whilst only young they stood in the Top 10 pair at the Brisbane exhibition and Morton was in the Top 6 at Beef 2018.
Beef 2021 saw this feat replicated for Kimba where Maude teamed up with another Kimba son, Pascoe, to win the double Grand Champion sashes. Their success continued into the Interbreed competition where Maude stood in the Top 10 of all females and Pascoe stood in the Top 4. What an incredible result for Kimba with progeny standing in the front line twice at this world class event.
